Thanks trevor thought cynologist but when put in dictionary defs.gives carer or lover of dogs rather than one who studies them> perhaps theres another words out there.loved greyhound how simple answers can be when on the right wave length!!
These 2 sites do give it as study of bow wows, as does wikipedia(not really know for it's reliability).wikipedia seems to be suggesting that these people refer to themselves as Cynologist's so that other people don't laugh at them when they say what they do.
charming eh?
It is a genuine question from "Raining cats and dogs" but couldnt resist calling upon the services of all those cyonologists who are lurking behind such an obscure title!!!
Hi again Freddo,
my reply was a genuine question too (reading it back it sounds a bit sarcastic, not my intention at all).
I don't know the answer though - sorry.
