Need help with these 2:-

Unit invested in support for teetotaller(7) - P?O?I?R (There's only 2 or 3 words that fit this pattern but none of them seem related to a possible def.

American in hospital's a girl(5) S?S?N Again, only a few words fit

Thank's Chris, you're right I spelled WIENER incorrectly. On the first one I thought of SUSAN because of the US but dismissed it because I was left with the SAN. Thanks again.

I hadn't seen that thread before Chris. Now you mention it the apostrophe does stick out like a sore thumb. On the question of 'SAN' for 'Hospital', where does that come from?

sanatorium - "san" was public school slang for the sick room (not that I went to one - public school or sick room)
