How beautifully presented Ixi. I'll print it off and have a go at my leisure.

Printed off beautifully. Only got one so far, but the mischievous wee child gets in the way!

Thanks for having a go everyone

GK.., to confirm, four of the clues(all of a kind)are wordplay only and lack a defn part, had to keep the instructions brief to keep everything on one page!

Thanks for the feedback Joan....I'm hoping everyone won't be too polite to also highlight ones that don't quite work.

Cheers

Ixion

My hope is that my iffy answers are the undefined ones - I was thrilled when I filled in the grid earlier, but am prepared for having some errors.

I'm enjoying this very much, ixion, and laughed out loud when I made the connection with the northernmost of the undefined clues. Am I right in thinking that the four fall into two twos as it were?

Hi Bullfrog...no it's a distinct group of four - some of the clues(more than I really wanted)turned out a bit &littish/loosely defined eg 8A, hopefully the four undefined stand out.

Very good, ixion, but not easy. I particularly liked 26ac, 28ac & 18dn. If 19dn is the anagram I think it is, isn't there an S too many?

I haven't been able to get back to this yet, but I have that S in 19d circled with a question mark (figured there might be an explanation). Ditto re 26a.
