Billb
Don\'t have this crossword.
Can you tell me which paper it is from as it may settle the Scots/English debate re DOOKS or DUNKS or even BOBBS.

I think it is a Scottish publication, I'd go with Dooks.

hi billb the answer to 6 and 7 dn is neepy candles. A neep in Scotland is a turnip and in days gone by at halloween it would have been a turnip lantern with a candle in it instead of a pumpkin. We always DOOK for apples at halloween. I still cant get 23-mousy? Unleavened.(7) I've got guide as the answer to 23 if thats any help. And the answer ends in ous i think.
