Good night!

Two problems remain for me.

9A. A courageous military leader (not French - Greek) (9) a?a?e?n?n

Surely, "Agamemnon" (Greek or Greek militaty leader); but just can't see the parsing. aga = military leader; not = non (French) mem = ?

Problem 2.
Then there seems to be an ambiguity (unless I'm really missing something - in which case I'll fall on my sword. lol))

20A. Vessels, if returning, may be waiting for the wind (6) s??o?s.

"sloops" = vessels and "spools" may be waiting for the wind (to be wound). Unfortunately both fit the (total) letters already found. Which one would you choose?

I'd go for SLOOPS.

Hi Rossim.
I'm inclined to agree. I just hat ambiguities, where either answer might be OK.

Any luck with Agamemnon?
