My first attempt at this puzzle. What a stinker! A new vocabulary for me: luau, simurg, eyras, ao dai, lemes, etc. At last, just one left. 27d. 'Doctor supports organised recreation(3 words).' R-NDR. The four letters are definite. Presumably 'DR' is the third word, but can anyone please help with the rest?

Should have said - in the military it usually stands for rest and recuperation (or relaxation)
