Hi Mamya,many thanks for your expert help.
That makes 11d Stevenson. (Writer's central characters in question have all the same name.)
Don't understand that one either.

28d. Drink about three quarters, all the same one gets drunk (6) -A-S-S
Is that cassic and why ??

CASSIS = CA (circa = about) + SSS (= south x 3) with I inside them.

Hope this helps!

Yet again many thanks Mamya,you come across as whiz at cryptics.! Think I've got the Stevenson now. Central characters in question are s and t, all the same is even so plus n (name).
Seems easy now!
