Thank you both. Can safely say I would not have got either of those.

As a result I have put tottery in 58a Like summer, as it were, that's unfit for steady walks. Cannot see the summer reference if this is correct. Can you please excplain?

Summer as in totter, as in add up/totting up.

Tot = add = sum, so a totter is a summer

Ouch again.
