Anyone tackled it/ interested??
LP=:-
Arrange the numbers 1,1,2,2,3,3, so that there is one number between the two 1s
two numbers betwwen the two 2s and three numbers between the two 3s
Try 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,
Easy?
Add 5,5,6,6,7,7,
26 possible ways
ADD 8,8
150 ways !!!!!!!

Some solutions (so far) are 231213, 23421314, 14156742352637, 14167345236275 and 15146735423627.

Hi ab Yes youve got the hang!!
Of course there are only one solution to L(2,3) and L(2,4)
I see that your three solutions for L(2,7) are at the top end of the search spectrum.
(7 right on the edge)
Are you using a search program???
I used to build Basic programs for this sort of thing But my Windows 7 wont support Basic and I cant get the hang of Macros.

Am at present delving into L(2,8) "with pencil paper and fingers.!!!!!
