23 ac is Quixotic as in "fancifully impractical" and I suppose Don as in Spanish Mr

4d is matey y is the last letter of sympathy but I cannot see Mate although there is a partial anagram of tea

18d must be obloquy but apart from O = old I cannot see the rest
