OOPS!! just filling it in ready to post off and saw that I was undecided about 26......is it city of the dreaming spires or a well known U.S. general in WW2? I put that because those wooden clogs worn on top of other footwear to get across muddy roads neatly but I know the 'city' ones are very neatly laced shoes. What shall I put? I'll wait for someone kind to rescue me PLEASE
hi,everyone. all your comments make good reading, very clever and funny people out there. still trying to sort out 44,82, 87 and have an answer for 52 but it doesn't sound like the one given on here. any more clues please.
Hi am joining in late after stay in hospital. Heather 39 have some hints for you: 44 anagram of serials plus another word for crew - think 'all ----- on deck'. 82 is an anagram of mugs and another word for man. 87 is a slang word for understand (3 letters) plus it then anagram of I drag plus e from 1st letter of electric. Never heard of it but it is in Chambers. I am stuck on 72 and 88 despite all the hints given so far and 60 which everyone seems to have got!
