43A Put on a List (7) i know the answer is either ITEMISE OR ITEMIZE but this is one of those words where you can put a S or Z and in this case the letter does not intersect with another word so how am i supposed to know which one to put?

I think that the UK spelling of these sort of words would use a 'z' and the US spelling would use an 's'.

So, when the crossword originates in the UK, I would gamble on using a 'z'.
