Hi folks, I've completed the grid and the second item but struggling with the first item. Does it end scat?

I know that, I'm just tidy by nature! Except today of course, Speccie comes before breakfast dishes.

Got the word now but can't see where the first letter should be. Doesn't seem to work for either of the first two definitions. Please put me out of my misery Malone.

I haven't got the first letter in the first word and can't see how I can it! I decided just to ignore/forget about it.

Both clues didn't appear to have any options for the misprint - I tried for a bit, then just gave up.

...but you do both realize which letter it must be, right?

Oh yes - I just couldn't find it in either of the relevant clues!

I've got the 2 words, but in the first word (10 letters) I can't see where the misprints are to give the 1st and 6th letters. I know it's not critical for completion, but I'm curious to know what I'm missing. Can anyone help?
