11A. Clue: Valley (5 letters) Have C_ _ _ E.
Last letter of 2D will be middle letter of 11A

Any help, please.

Oh yes - I read it wrongly , thought it said 2nd letter of 2dn .
Should have gone to specsavers

I had chasm but couldn't find the word Combe in the thesaurus. Going with these two & thanks again. Have won this crossword twice this year so maybe again. Ever so grateful.
