I`m in a muddle! I had `hammer` for 21d, then wanted `overawe` for 29ac. One or both must be wrong - help please!

I had to think back to my piano tuner and remembered the word "damper" . No tree climbing today - too hot !

Thank you Jazzgirl. Now you`ve given me damper 20 ac is obvious. Thanks also for lacunary in another thread. Hot here too - but after tomorrow it`s back to normal.
