Hi all.

Virginia's exhausted flipping flavouring = vanilla. I'm assuming VA for Virginia but can't see where ANILL comes from.

Segment starting and filling a regular curve = arc. Can't see what's telling us to take the first letters of 'a regular curve'.

Bare alchemist planned to get rich with this? = base metal.

Many thanks.

VA + ALL IN (exhausted) backwards

=======

Starting = A R(egular) C(urve)
Filling = (a regul)AR C(urve)
Actually quite a clever clue.

=======

Remove RICH from BARE ALCHEMIST and you're left with BAEALEMST an anagram of BASE METAL.
