Can anyone recommend any crossword grid designer software.

The industry standard appears to be crossword compiler, all the setters interviewed by Alan Connor seem to use it and I think Les40 and Lionheart of this site also use it.

Hiya alanjames,

ixion is correct, you can purchase the basic package, but I would strongly recommend you pay the extra for the WordWeb Pro and all the professional extras that come with it.
that's not a sales pitch for the software, I feel that after a couple of weeks, you will upgrade to the better stuff anyway, a far superior package.

I've downloaded the demo and it seems to do everything that I want (and more!)
