Macbeth is the Thane of Glamis, could he be saying ME? THANE?

Glad I checked before attempting to correct you, trevor! - I was thinking "Cawdor", but that was his promotion.

By the way, I've visited Cawdor Castle - the castle isn't much, but the gardens are nice, and it has the most attractive woodland I've seen anywhere.

i was wrong ChrisE (i know very little Shakespeare)i should have put ...WAS the Thane of Glamis before his promotion, maybe that is when he felt surprised!
