ab & greedy kite - the first E wasfrom the answer to the clue REQUIRES - I had NEEDS.
It must be WANTS which is slightly different from REQUIRES. For the distillery - never heard of Glen Scotia - prefer Glen Morangie or Glenfiddich.

Not a whisky lover unless it canadian club which you can not get in pubs up my neck of the woods, i digress i had glen scotia as well.
