Yes Trevor-thanks yet again. I suppose BELGRANO is Spanish-very weak.Letter play works though.

The Belgrano was the Argentine ship sunk during the Falklands war outside the exclusion zone while supposedly sailing away from conflict (from behind).

oh, and 'She' was actually called The General Belgrano - hence the (generally) part of the clue.
