65) and is the important word here; put a dance around \'and\' and you have another name for outlaw.
69) Another word for \'rip\' begins the answer.
86) Look at \'Ca\'s pouch; 3 letter word there will give you a clue; take the word out and you have another name for what?

I'm in a muddle now. If I follow your reasoning correctly, for no.85 this answer is very close to the one I already have for no.73. Where am I going wrong?

Glad to have helped someone. Despite Escher's best efforts we are still completely stuck on 85 and 96. In a way we don't want to finish just yet but they are driving us mad and we just cannot see them. Any other hints would be great. Shame we are going to have to wait so long for the next quiz.

The word is an american term for someone who passes bad checks. This definition was not in my Chambers but the word was, and the defintion can be found in several online dictionaries.

The first part of the word is what sort of money cheques (or banknotes) are called.
