PEDANT ALERT!!!!
Not actually the Rose Knight, though, tony! That was Octavian, who was representing (though not willingly) Ochs.

Can I tell a funny story although it might not translate well here. My mum and dad went to the opening of a big opening of Tosca ( my dad was a music journalist) and the crew really disliked "Tosca" and at the end when she jumped off they had tightened the trampoline so she actually bounced back in front of the audience - true story I promise :)

I first read about this in "My family and other animals" by Gerald Durrell. In his version, on the second night the stagehands removed the cushions (not trampoline) and the closing bars were marred by the screams of pain from "Tosca".
