Not posted on here for some time as I stopped doing this crossword, however with a little more spare time I decided to give them another try! I have two solutions which escape me.
12d. Core of fruit kept in wooden dish. (6) Tureen maybe?
36a. Fare once provided by revolutionary monarch. (5) Carer, Curer or Corer???

core of fruit=u
wooden= treen

I think 36 was Cheer (Che=revolutionary,er/ER= monarch).

Thankyou Tonyw, never heard of treen! And thanks to chips for finding my error, I had spelt theatre theater!! Cheers!
