Have got some answers and I don't fully understand why. I'm sure they're right as they answer the first part of the clue - could someone explain please?
49a Tigers, say, seeing red coins in tips. Have got 'endangered species'
35d Small property is on film in China. I have 'maisonette'.

49 is an anagram

next one is on inside mate=china me old china plate

re 49a, I think you're right...

'Seeing Red' is ANGERED + 'Coins' (SPECIE) in 'tips' (ENDS)

maisonette
tea for China - mate
contains is on and ET for film
