35A The only obvious solution to this clue(Her plans unexpectedly change)doesn't appear to be defined in the clue. Is it indeed potentially lethal? Or have I missed a slang meaning?

31D The only answer i can see to this one, if £%A does indeed start with 'S', is rater weakly defined by 'if and but' and I can; 't see the bean-spill anywhere.

Any explanations, please?

herplans (anagram) shrapnel = slang for small change

Ah, thanks, jazzgirl - I couldn't find the slang meaning in my dictionary - only the nasty antipersonnel meaning.

Hi quixote - welcome to the forum.
It's a good idea to supply the clue and any letters you have, so people who don't have the crossword can contrubute.
