Hi Bullfrog,

From my days of yore filling in manifestos for coastal shipping, I thought that Bridgewater had an e in it but the net tells me it can be spelt both ways, thanks. However, what had it got to do with a fluttering bird?

Thanks bbc,

Your help with fruit bat now makes clue 1 as follows ??R?L?

Do you think it could be 'enroll' the en being part of penny and roll being a part? see clue. TA.

Hi Colin - its parole - I've looked it up and it is a promise (never knew that!)

Bridgwater - anagram of bird (fluttering) with g for gravity
