I'm probably explaining the obvious, but just in case you haven't noticed:
dub=puddle
owl=dullard
around st=street
...so it all fits the clue perfectly, not just the length & letters given!
(Don't do M. any longer, but no prob. with this clue/solution)

Can someone please parse this clue? I can see the st(reet) and the definition but that's all.
