I have IMPERMANENC-
Is the missing letter an E or a Y...and why?

I don't think there is such a word as the Y version.

'For each' is the per man part, so the wrapping 'im...ence must have some relevance and may be in reverse given the up cue

If I might :
The Theological expression for the ubiquity of God is "Immanence" Stick the "per" into this.

After 40 years that degree in Theology has proved useful.

Rossim-- The y version exists and is defined in the dictionary section of this site! I am becoming inclined to believe it is the E though and I think I'll go with it! Thanks to all for your help!
