29D 'Where there are many stores we find very quiet in a puzzling way (8,6) "-H-P-I-G, -E-T-E".
Almost certainly "shopping centre", but cannot understand any of the cryptic part of clue except for "PP", ie very quiet.
Cam somebody please put me out of my misery!

The only thing I can think of is that PP is positioned in the centre of shoPPing

Thank you ChrisG.
If that is the correct explanation, I would never have got it in a month of Sundays!
Cannot understand why nobody else seems to have found a problem with this clue!

Tony - you'll be perhaps heartened to know that I, probably along with many others, solved this without understanding the wordplay fully - then just moved on! So thanks Chris for solving this little niggle!
