1ac. Edoras features in a type of literary work (4) as a type of place (4).
Meaning - wisdom (8)
Could also read as a holiday destination for over-60s!
11ac. Take the ends of "due" and "but" - giving you something that is due...

Not sure that when seeking help with a clue is helped by just getting another clue !!!!!

Sorry, bridgereferee, I know the clue/answer debate features on other threads too, but I think it's down to personal choice.
I think that giving the actual answer might spoil it for someone who joins the thread looking for help, or pointers!
As I say, though, that's just my view. Other opinions are available!

Bridgereferee - I agree with you. All that Kendo wanted was the answers! If you had asked Olorin & Al what day & date it was today - the answers would be today is between Sunday & Tuesday and the date would be the square root of 121!

I'm sure that the people that receive answers take the time to work out how they were obtained and therefore learn something.

An interesting debate here. But surely Kendo has the right to make a comment. Why did he tell Andy that all he wanted was the answers, but not say that to Olorin and Al?
