Can anyone help with:
17 across Golfer' zip, say, caught one opening of trousers after twisting (3) _IC
This I think is one of the 'longer' words that needs shortening.
31 across Nurse misplaced zeal acquired after introduction to Rubic's cube (7)
R_ _ EN _ _
34 across Have left, ending outside country's confinements (7) D _ _ NI_ _
These two may be longer words but probably have a misprint in the definition.
I'm having a bit of trouble with this one!

Tic? Caught one (c i) with t last of trousers, twisting? The misprint could be yip for zip - a golfer's tic ?

I didn't manage to finish this, but I remember that 34 was one of the longer/then shortened answers - Downlying, meaning confinement/pregnancy-related. The 'ly' comes out.
