Can anyone explain 10 across for me?
Boy taking space in middle of eyrie? (6)
I'm sure it should be Ernest but don't know why

An EYRIE is an eagle's nest.
An ERN(E) is a sea eagle.
I suppose the two words overlapping could be the answer but I'm not totally convinced.
