Thanks.I can see how that works too - think I'm finding this one particularly tricky because it's 'criticism', rather than 'criticise' in the clue.I'll ponder again!

Thanks, Rusty - I didn't know that (thought 'snipe' as a noun was just a bird or a fool), so I think I'll go with 'snipe'.
