The last two answers I have asked for help with have been so obvious that I approach this with some trepidation.....
5a) Banker recieves a club (7) ------R
(stuck in top right corner!)
I think this is a word for a banker with an A in it and it means a club. I can't think of a golf club that would fit the bill, so what kind of club? The name of a club?
As ever, any help gratefully recieved.

Leander, maybe?
It's a club, and is lender/banker with 'a' inside.
