I think I've almost finished but am struggling to get to grips with the cryptic meaning of the 7th pair, hence it's partner in the grid and the highlighted normal answer! Could someone please put me out of my misery, thanks

You are in front of mee - I only have 2 of the entries sorted - liberal and musically bland. I think the last is to do with explosive TNT can you offer any hints on the ones I have not got?

The title with one of the across entries (near top) describes the last pair, initial letters of 7th pair give the first word

All the shaded cells apart from FERE and LISTENING . I have lots of possibles but can't connect them. for example - Smallest room for toilet? Kissing for intimate Danseurs for entertainers? DANGEr for trouble? ....

Cloakroom, dagger, another pair is female comedy duo, I thought TT (double T) for first word

A bit nearer now - still have PUB something and ANCHOR? not beef, discomfiture, trouble , financial backing to find + the last pair - possibles DIN? MAGES (games?) CH? ?ARITE ?OSE . Any ideas or hints ??

'Not beef' would be better rephrased as 'Do not beef' - ie don't moan.Hope this is of some help!
