I can hardly believe I am starting this thread off. First time for me! So far I have been getting on well, not finished yet. But I imagine that some of our speedy contributors will have finished by now. If I get stuck I will post again.

Meantime lovely day here in Glasgow.

Hi Mondrian - Lovely day here in North Essex too. Found it fairly simple this week - must be the sunshine activating my brain !

hi all
Mondrian, it's so good to see you in pole position ;)
I thought I was doing well, half an hour and almost done; then it took another 1/4 hour to get the final 3. (always the short ones that cause trouble)
It is very hot here in the South (25c) at the moment.
Best wishes to all RT-ers

Hi, Mondrian and chrisg. Yes, fairly straightforward this week, but I really had to dig into the recesses of my memory to get the one about the 1980s series Minder?. A long way back, and I never much liked the star of the show anyway.

Hope all are doing well.

Best wishes.

hello Everyone, it's very warm and sunny up here, too, in the Socialist Republic of South Yorks!
Hope you're all keeping fit and well.
Scorched through the first 3/4s and stuck in the bottom r/h corner - 4 to go..... will keep at it. Unlike you, Chrisg, I don't do sunshine, so the brain [as ever] is sluggish.
Well done, Mondrian, isn't it lovely to post first????
Pipesmoker, I vaguely remember the series, don't think I ever watched it, though, and not too sure about the star - was she in Butterflies????
Will be back for assistance, if I can't work it out .....
Cheers
Chris

Hi all and well done for opening the thread Mondrian. I found some of the clues fairly easy and have about 6 or 7 left. I think I have the ghist of 16a but the first word is eluding me. Had a good day - an eye make up lesson, an afternoon gardening, vet with cat for his annual jab. Now waiting for the strength to make dinner! Went out without a coat today - on Sunday wore my Woolley winter scarf! British weather, eh!!!

Ho! Just got 16a...... Always the same, flash of inspiration after the post! Did you enjoy The Bridge anyone, I did hugely.

Hi Old gal, yes, I saw The Bridge and enjoyed it immensely - what'll we do with our Saturday nights now?? I believe there's some new Wallender coming up later in the year. Did you ever see the French series, Spiral, that was really good, too. I like all these continental ones - they have subtitles, so I don't have to wear my hearing aids!!!!!
I too find that when I post I find the answers almost immediately, as I've done this time - only one to go now - 22a....
Cheers
Chris
