Has anyone got 10a: After changes in statement leaves Irish town (----R-O-D), or 26a: Lie about closure of dance floor (-T-R-Y), yet? Thanks in advance.

Hi.

26a looks like storey ('story'/lie about last letter of 'dance').

Hi again.

10. Waterford ('word' about anagram of 'after').

Cheers Jim for Waterford; funnily enough I got Storey shortly after I asked!

Last one I need is 23a: Cast in low spirits, mostly, at the end of revue (H-A--)

I think it is heave.(throw,cast)

heavy(hearted)mostly = heav + last letter of revue.

Actually, I forgot I was going to come back to this one...

"US group in a Hitchcock film, we're told" (3,5)

Now, obviously the "we're told" is the soundalike THE BYRDS and THE BIRDS, but I'm just wondering which of these should be the answer? Unfortunately the second letter of the second word (the Y or I) doesn't interlock with any other answers so it's a bit of a toss-up...

I'd go with THE BYRDS as we're told comes right after the film bit.
