Can anyone help with:
What connects Fulham, Barnet & Sunderland?
I'm hopeless at connections!
Thanks in advance

Hi mjk; I know very litle of football so this is just a wild stab - could it be a history of their position in a particular league??

Could it be to do with slang meanings? Barnet is hair (in cockney rhyming slang, from "Barnet Fair") and a fulham is a loaded die. I have no idea is "sunderland" is a slang term though.

Thank you Paul & Torquemada for your replies.
I too thought of slang 'cos of Barnet, but I feel it's something to do with the dreaded 'footie'! If you have any more thoughts please contact me again, and....have a great weekend

I think this may have something to do with avoiding relegation recently ,soccer

Possibly that they are all single word football clubs ie no 'united', 'city', 'rovers' etc??
