Unless by some unforseen co-incidence I have stumbled upon different result for these letters, I would not have called either of my answers 'things'. I found a person and an occasion (well that is to me Lol !) Hope that helps.

Jonty - I'm not doing this puzzle but am intrigued by the anagram. I can pull out olympic, anniversary, princess royal, princess anne but can't get any further. Have any of these words been used in previous answers?

Your first mentioned princess is correct. The second 2 words are an event which always happens on a thursday.
