Anyone else finding it really difficult today?

Hi andyc, could you explain this:- Study classics (all but first 25pc), winning cup (12)

ASTROPHTSICS!! Why?

the cup is trophy

Well Brendan I've got that one as "astrophysics".
winning the cup = trophy and then classics all but first 25 per cent...so leave the first two letters of classics out = assics.
If you then take "assics" and "trophy" together as an anagram you get astrophysics which is the study.

I hope that makes some sense.

Floppy disc setter's bagged (4) _I_P

I'm thinking LIMP (floppy) but can't really do the parsing. Any ideas?

Disc = LP
Setter's = I'm (Setter is = I am)
Limp= floppy

Ahh, that's great, cheers. Finally done. I can't imagine that was the regular setter, it seemed a lot harder today.
