Grid complete but don't understand the significance of "alphabetical order resolves a potential ambiguity in one of the unclued lights"
Does that mean we choose jaguarOndi rather than jaguarUndi or am I missing something here?

That's exactly what I'd like to know, too! Suspect you're right, though the tip is not 100 % clear.

I agree, ondi rather than undi. I liked that the methods of linking varied in this one. I missed last week's so will give it a go now although it will be difficult to page back to the thread if help needed.

I don't think it's at all clear. If "alphabetical order resolves a potential ambiguity in one of the unclued lights" is supposed to mean choose o rather than u, it's a poor explanation. I can't think of anything better though.

I'm only about a quarter of the way through, but I already have jaguarundi entered and did wonder how one is supposed to decide which spelling to use. Of course it shouldn't matter, since the mystery letter isn't crossed, so why make an issue of it? Odd. You'd think the directive would refer to something else.

Typical Doc trick, to leave one ambiguous letter.

Google gives 305,000 hits for "undi" vs 154,000 for "ondi".
Wikipedia: French & Italian use "ondi",
Portuguese & Spanish, "undi".

Yet it appears we're being told to use the less common spelling.

Bah!

Hardly worth getting one's undis in a bundle over.
