I'm off to bed now, but thought this would be fun for you if you're sticking around for a while.
Someone threw this one my way a while ago and it had me thinking for quite some time.
All the answers are 4,2 with no clues, but do have the final letter. Some are easier than the others and all are in Chambers (a couple are hyphenated, but doesn't really matter)

1) - - - -,- F
2) - - - -,- D
3) - - - -,- U
4) - - - -,- U
5) - - - -,- X
6) - - - -,- X

Maybe more will be found. Enjoy

Thanks Les, they look impossible except perhaps the first, but I can't sleep and that looks like something to intrigue me. Will let you know how I get on, hopeless I expect!

Oooh, Oooh, teacher !! I got it.

Actually, 11 in total:

3 - F, 1 - D, 3 - U, 4 - X. (all in Chambers)

Fun puzzle. Thanks Les.

I knew more would be found if I put it out there. The answers I have are:

What if
Tele ad
Deja vu
Kung fu
Musk ox
Trek ox

Well done Syzzie for getting the extra ones.
I've received an email off Syzzie, and his answers are all right too, he had:

Here's my list (all in Chambers):

(F) care of, kind of, sort of

(D) want ad

(U) déjà vu, kung fu, pang-fu'

(X) meat-ax, musk ox, Tipp-Ex®, trek-ox

I had "what if" and "what of" from Chambers and couldn't find Tipp-ex @ Are those two OK?

I also thought there must be hand ax but there doesn't appear to be, meaning the small kind you use to chop kindling with rather than the huge kind you swing

Maybe not Rosa, Syzzie went to more trouble than I did though, it's not a bad little teaser to while away a few hours.
Maybe a hand ax(e) is just a hatchet?

Ah, well, in spite of chopping wood occasionally, I wouldn't know. I just call it a hand ax(e) but maybe that's something I made up. Not a problem.
"What of" is OK, though?
And yes, it's a nice teaser. Thanks
