Could 10 be tortoiseshell ?
I believe " OCULAR" may refer to the shell of reptiles.

Ocular means relating to the eye.
A tortoise's shell is called a carapace.

10 - There is a film "Clarence the Cross Eyed Lion" and I think the character also appeared in the TV series "Daktari". Could fit the bill?

rossim: of course ocular means pertaining to the eyes
but Wikipedia mentions that ocular scale is a scale of reptiles, hence my query re tortoiseshell.
Anyway the answer is now obviously negative.

AB's post 5 seems to fit the bill. A lion is a cat and cross-eyed is ocular challenged. Seems good to me.
