rep is a corded fabric and brut means very dry (especially champagne).
Spin or reverse rep and brut to get perturb.

As the query is resolved, there's little likelihood of this being read (so start a new thread, pillock...) but would it not help if the title to a new query specified the paper etc, rather than heading with a "Help!" or similar non-specific squeak of anxiety?
