I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Yes! Last week's were found difficult by some especially the "HOLMES" one. I've 'wiped' the clue bur think it 'went'
A first-class cracker's minute, covered with jams (5). Took quite a while but AB (I think) solved it eventually.

I doubt I would have got it without any checking letters.

Hello, Jolan. Checking in late today. Got 1, 3, and 4 right off but have to think about 2 and 5. Won't be able to post at 5 though- off to climb a mountain.
