Hi all. I must admit I try not to log in until I am really stuck. Which I now am.
Just two to get:-

5d. Attractive after development is complete. (10) P?O???E?I?

- I thought it might be an anagram of 'is complete' but can't work it out if it is.

12a. Short author using sentimental language about Republican ruler (8) ???E?N?R

- Have absolutely no idea on that one.

Chambers word wizard suggests answers for both that fit the definitions, but I must confess that I can't fully parse either.

Photogenic - After the photo has been developed?
