Good morning! These few may be a little easier than usual. Hope you enjoy 'em.

I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Please withhold solutions till 5 pm (GMT + 1) to allow others to have a go.

1. A quarter of the poor altogether without real representation (6)
2. Too controlled for an unsuccessful person (4-3)
3. Youngster may not yet be one (6)
4. Beastly dandy actually has good intentions (5,4)
5. Continued unnoticed? (2,7)

wow...I think I have actually got number 5 first....so glad to be home today.

should have actually said that I got no 5 quickly...And I like it!

Just got to this. Only 1, 2, and 4 so far (excellent clues!), and an answer for 5 that works but isn't devious enough for you (must try to sink to your level). Mental block re 3; will no doubt kick self.

My attempt:

2)also-ran
3)embryo?
4)means well
5)bi anagram?

1) GHETTO
2) ALSO-RAN
3) All I could think of was something like infant, with "tricky" use of yet- to mean still.
4) MEANS WELL
5) Could only come up with ON AVERAGE (thought of IN PASSING)
