EASY MANNER fits, but I can't quite see the connection

Think the clues was "Simple way to obtain poise" - Thus "easy"- simple, way - Manner (as in manner of doing something) - easy manner = poise?

I think you must be right, the paper has printed the clue with 2 spelling mistakes! Makes it hard for amateurs like me! If I Google the clue as you've spelt it, I get several answers, so you're right. Cheers and thanks...
