I had feta based on ate being the past participle of eat, when something worries/eats at you. The f coming from female.

Can was simply when you can/discard something.

The kind of clue we've often argued about. Appears to be feta, using anagram of ate (worried). I think this is unfair, even though it's so simple. An anagram shouldn't require inference; the necessary letters should always be in the clue itself.

worried = ate, about = eta.
