Hi there,

Grateful for any help with 23a (6) 'Counsel offering interpretation of excessive hype'.

Answer is either 'advise' or 'advice' but can't decide which.

Cheers.

I can see that either word could mean 'Counsel'
but apart from that don't see how the answer fits the clue?

Yes - that's my problem. Both words fit equally well. The only slight leaning (and it's very slight!) is that 'advise' contains 'ads' for advertisements and by extension, hype. (I did say the link was tenuous).

LOL. Could an interpretation of excessive hype be an ad vice? vice being a 'fault' or 'immorality'.
Oh dear! Sorry
